Werner is a Senior Adviser to InfraRed. He provides input into InfraRed’s strategy and is a member of a number of InfraRed’s investment committees.
Werner was Chief Executive Officer of InfraRed for nearly three decades playing an integral role in InfraRed’s journey, leading the business to where it is today.
He joined the business in 1995, then known as Charterhouse Bank. As Joint Chief Executive of the Bank, Werner, led the Bank’s restructuring into a private equity investment business which became InfraRed. He stayed with the business when it was acquired by HSBC in 2001. In 2011 he led its buy-out from HSBC and subsequently the sale of the business to SLC in 2020.
