HICL Infrastructure Company Limited (‘HICL’) was established in 2006. HICL has a board of four independent directors. The InfraRed secondary infrastructure team acts as Investment Adviser to HICL. This means that InfraRed is responsible for the day-to-day management of the listed Company and its investment portfolio.
A London Stock Exchange-listed company and FTSE 250 member, HICL is a long-term investor in infrastructure projects that are predominantly in their operating phase and yielding steady returns. It manages an established, diversified portfolio of investments in Europe and North America. HICL’s investments include the Home Office in London and Kicking Horse Canyon P3 project in Canada. HICL’s current strategy is to secure further investments including PFI/PPP/P3 projects, operational renewable energy projects, regulated utilities and, selectively, debt funding in infrastructure projects.
